One of the things I'm interesting to draw and especially to paint is the Elemental.
And this is my first try of water drops.
I'm not sure if they look water drops at all. What do you think? Anyway I'll keep doing it until I get the hang of it.
Here are some YouTube videos on how to paint water drops. They are not necessary the best as I'm sure there're heaps and heaps of other tutorial on the same subject. Below are just a few from my search.
- Using Watercolor (I know of a very good one from Jan Kunz which I used to view on YouTube, but some how lost the link and can't seem to locate it on YouTube ... sorry!)
The sketch is also for Paint Party Friday - hosted by Eva and Kristin. All are welcomed! Do join in to share and support each other!
Cheers and have a lovely weekend! xxoo

They look like water drops to me! Love the composition you did with this study in your sketchbook. Happy PPF! :-)
I love your drops, i thought dangling crystals before i read your post. I am quite attracted to your spheres.
Your water drops are great. I never really thought about painting them. Now I'll have to think about it. Nice work. Happy PPF

Great water drops! Happy PPF.
love your first water drops, want to see more
GREAT first attempt and I have yet to try doing water droplets. Thanks for posting the links to the videos and will surely have a go
I honestly don't know how anyone could mistake these for anything other than water drops so I'd say you painted them perfectly!
These are really cool, thanks for sharing the links. The green one really pops.
Merci de partager vos techniques!
Fantastic idea - well done!
I just adore looking at your sketches, it doesn't matter what they are. I think you could probably draw crumpled tissues and shoelaces and make it beautiful.
Graceful drops. Awesome setting too.
oooooo, LOVE these!
