Wreck This Journal - Week 3

A Day or Almost A Day of My Life

After wrestling with STOS # 1 (rewrite) for about 3 hours, I was totally wrecked!

To re-energize, I had a wonderful afternoon tea with the Journal. The menu included lemon (wrapped by a page from the Journal) for lemon tea, cup cakes and mandarins.

A bilssful nap with the heater full on! (It's winter here ...)

Woke up with a mild headache and called in Dr Who (David Tennant) for a quick fix.

Dinner time! I had tomato, cucumber and green beans salad & fish with cream & dill sauce. I didn't use the page as napkin but spit the food on the page. Yuck! But ... you couldn't believe the laugh I had out of spitting! (Something's wrong with me!!)

Feeling a bit full after dinner, I needed some exercises to help my digestion. Pepper jumped right in (literally) to play tug of war. At the end of the game, Pepper had the Journal under his paws and the Journal was covered with his saliva.

Such violent game really tired us out. Me and Pepper headed to our warm bedroom for the night. And the Journal asked for some fresh air so there it went - sitting on a string hanging down from the crab apple tree at the backyard!

What an eventful 2/3 of my day!

I got my cat involved in helping me to wreck the journal last week. Looks like you did have a very eventful day & got some great wreckage in. I'm so glad you got a nap in, too - I believe in naps.

Sounds like a great day. I hope Pepper enjoyed being part of the wrecking ~ I believe wrecking should be shared with everyone in our life!
Looking forward to what you come up with this week.

How bizarre, I dreamt about David Tennant last night. Naturally, England being such a small country and all that, I bump into him all the time (I wish!!!). I must post another pic from my childhood journal that features Dr Who! Glad to see you are joining the 'let's get our pets involved' gang! Looks like you've been having great fun! Lisa

What a great time you seem to be having with wrecking the journal, next time I will have to get on the 'band wagon' and join in!
Was also reading your previous post about getting rid of a character in your writing, which reminded me of how good painters have to consider composition, I kind of see it as looking at the whole picture, not just what you want to see, but what needs to be included to make the painting go from good to fantastic! As a learning individual I always have problems with composition even as a concept, books have been written on just the subject, so as a writer I can see how hard it would be to see the whole picture as you are composing your story, as it grows word by word.
Hope it is all coming along for you now, would love to read your story some time, all the best with your creativity, Angie ox.

What a wreckfully fun day! :) Did it rain on the journal? :)

Tug of war with the dog? What fun! Pepper looks like he claimed the journal for his own. Nice wrecking!

What a great day! No doubt journal-wrapping will become a lemon trend! And Pepper paws are all the rage for journals :)

Wrecking with a furbaby is fun! They really like joining in. Spitting ... a newly acquired proficiency!

I love the journal hanging from the tree! Might have to try that. Perhaps mine needs to spread its wings.

I would get my dog involved but she has the worst breathe ever and the thought of her breathe on my journal makes me cringe!

But thanks for sharing, such wonderful wrecking!

Spitting sounds like fun! :-) My seven year old daughter wants to pee on it, but I haven't let her go that far yet.

Hi Everyone,

Look like Pepper is the star of wrecking for this week!!! :) And still thanks for everyone's comments. You all rock!

I bet your journal smells PURTY after the fish soaked in! LOL

Thanks for your interesting comparison on my post - the wrecking and rebirth. I hadn't thought of that. I had a good laugh at your wrecking experiences with a loud yuk at the spitting of food, I haven't worked up to that one yet. I have a thing about messiness but will get over it. Pepper is so cute and did a great job with his part in the destruction. What a fun idea to put the journal to sleep in a tree, did the weather co-operate and rain?

Hi Pink Heels,

Yeap, my journal did start to smell a little but I'm sure come shower time, it'll smell fantastics! :)

Hi Leone,

The rain - that was what I expected but unfortunately, there's none! :(

Yay for Pepper! I am waiting to have a dinner alone, by myself, lonesome - before I do THAT page! Way too embarrassed, which kind of says a lot about my retentiveness.

Good grief the book in the tree looks like it is intended to ward off crows and protect the cherry crop or something. Go puppy, go!!!

Hybrid J said...

Hi The Bodhi Chicklet & Barbar Martin,

Thanks for dropping by and cheer on Pepper! Maybe I should ask him to answer this post instead, hahaha! ;)

Great job! I love the giftwrapped page. What I wouldn't give for a treat like that! :)

I can't wait 'til the rain stops so I can get out there and grab some mud for the dirt page!!

Keep having' fun and feeling freeeee!

Hybrid J said...

Thanks Scarlet, you have fun too! ;)

Of course pepper played tug of war and drooled on the journal - it's full of food! Dog's love food, even if it is spit out, lol!

I love seeing it hanging from the tree too - full of food, and up safe from the bears ;)
