What's in My Sketchbook?

20110323 Skull & Feather

20110323 Skull & Feather CU

Since I started to learn to draw girls, I've become vastly interested in human anatomy, especially the human skull. It is of such fascinating structure.  I've wanted to include some skull works in my drawings and paintings, but didn't know why it took me this long to do it! ;)  Hope you like it.

This is also my entry to Paint Party Friday hosted by Eva and Kristin.  All are welcomed!  Do join in to share and support each other!

Cheers and have a lovely weekend!

Interesting drawings, Love the way you painted them using a very limited palette but tone to get the contrast. Beautifully done.

What a great sketch. Ink and watercolour washes are my favourite and this looks amazing with the script through the back of it. Your skulls almost look 3d in the first picture!

I want to say that your skulls are so fun, but I am not sure that works...hehehe. I think these are cool!

I wish my sketchbook was that pretty! An artist after my own heart, I LOVE SKULLS! What kind of sketchbook do you use. I never can find one with paper that can take watercolor?

This is lovely and that header is gorgeous! I would like to try pen and ink. I think the blue and black are great companions and perfect for this subject matter.I like how you created the illusion of 3d with the skulls and the toning as well...great work!
