Interview Meme

Can you believe this? Jamie Ridler decided to interview me and I just got the interview questions! I must be a very important blogger and talented writer.

Are you beginning to shake you head and wondering what the hell is Hybrid J up to? O.K. O.K. I’m telling you the truth. I joined an interview meme by leaving comments to Jamie’s own interview done by Michelle Ward of
When I Grow Up Coach & Danielle LaPorte of White Hot Truth .

Here is the interview rule:

* leave me a comment with your email address saying: “interview me”* I will e-mail you five questions of my choice

* you can then answer the questions on your blog {with a link back to my blog}

* you should also post these rules, along with an offer to interview anyone else who emails you, wanting to be interviewed

* anyone who asks to be interviewed should be sent 5 questions to answer on their blog

* it would be nice if the questions were individualized for each blogger

Jamie’s questions for me:

What’s quality do you just love about yourself?

Resilient – Life has thrown me some real difficult challenges over the last 10 years or so. Those who knew me in person all said that if they were in my shoes, they would have given up and basically lied down to die. I had survived it all on my own without much outside help. I still don’t know how I got through.

The strongest memory I had of that period was of me standing alone somewhere, taking all the punches and waited for it to finish. Giving up or running away was never an option. It never entered my mind.

If you could meet one person this week, anyone at all, who would it be?

I’d love to meet Gerard, the protagonist of my last writing project, STOS # 2. I want to know him better so that I could do a proper rewrite of his story when it’s time to do the revision.

What did you dream of when you were a little girl?

I dream of living in the world’s largest library and have a full team of servants to care for my daily needs while I just read and read and read.

What’s currently on your night table?

What’s something you want to be sure to do in this life time?

To help all the untold stories inside of me see the light of the world.

O.K. fellow bloggers, who wants to be interviewed? Leave a comment with your email address or email me at
hybridj@gmail.com. I’ll prepare you 5 questions. Come on, join the fun!

Wonderful! I totally enjoyed reading your responses.

Interesting to see resilience in the same post as that Queen of Swords on your bedside table - strength and determination, no backing down, clear vision, powerful personality.

I'm sure the world is looking forward to meeting Gerard too :)

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for the wonderful comments and I enjoy your "reading" of the Queen of Swords. My sense of the card is very different to yours. But I like yours better. ;) Well, Gerard still refused to come forward ... just have to give him a little bit more time!

The Queen of Swords; she can be your greatest advisory or your staunchest supporter. Often in the same dress. I'm hoping that you also recognize that this card is addressing the warrior spirit that resides in you. The part of you that stood and took the beating and did not yield. The part of you that is the survivor. Who I hope now lives to move toward the quality of living, no longer simply surviving.

I really enjoyed hearing you talk about yourself. It was good to hear you be proud of your Self.

Hi Holly,

What an insightful intrepretation of the Queen of Swords! I would say this - after the ordeal, I have been on surviving mode for a long time. The "moving on" happened on a subtle level which formed the undercurrent of my life. So far so good. :)

I have always been reluctant to talk about my personal life, but with such supportive community, I'm beginning to feel more open. Thank you for listening! :D

Interview me - leonekitty@yahoo.ca, my blog is naturesbrushstrokes.blogspot.com. You asked me a couple of days ago if the art journal on my blog was mine - yes it is, thanks for you kind comment. I admire your strength and resilience while surviving all the blows that life can aim at us. It sure can be tough sometimes. When I was going through a difficult time I painted a picture of a hand holding a sword, it was very powerful for me to do this, also I went to a workshop about swords and got to handle many different types of swords. I thought I would be afraid holding them but I felt very powerful - it was an amazing experience.

Hi Leone,

Great! I'll send you the questions soon! It is truly amazing how the Queen of Swords could rely to other women's view of overcoming difficulties. I'd love to have the opportunity to handle a real sword myself! And thanks for the compliment of my strength and resilience. I never realize I had that depth of strength inside of me til I met my challenges. And I had learn so much about myself that on hindsight I was grateful to have that expereince! Life is sure full of surprise! :D

Hi Hybrid J
Thanks for your visit and comments, it's amazing how much pressure we put on ourselves to do it right and perfect and just do it. It so nice to share with others and learn that they share the same difficulties, feelings and joys associated with being creative. Happy creating.
